Cleavers (Galium aparine) is one of those plants that shows up in early summer, does its thing, and disappears. Ours grows right here in our Calgary garden — harvested at peak, steeped the same day, and that’s the year’s supply. What we can grow and harvest in the season leading up to July is all there is. When it’s gone, it’s gone until next year.

A cooling, clarifying lymphatic herb, Cleavers has a long folk tradition of supporting the body’s natural fluid balance and bringing a light, decongesting quality to sluggish or puffy skin. It’s the herb for skin that feels heavy, congested, or in need of a gentle reset.

How to Use

Apply to skin with light, sweeping strokes moving toward the lymph nodes — underarms, neck, groin. Particularly lovely used alongside gentle lymphatic massage. Works beautifully layered under a heavier moisturizer or used on its own on damp skin after a shower.
