How to Brew
Sun Tea: Add 2–3 heaping tablespoons to a large jar of cold water and leave in the sun for 2–4 hours. Strain, chill, and pour over ice. The colour is spectacular.
Hot Brew & Chill: Steep in hot water (just off the boil) for 8–10 minutes. Strain, sweeten with honey if desired, and pour over a full glass of ice.
Zero Waste Tips
Don’t throw out those spent berries — they’ve still got plenty to give.
Popsicles: Blend the spent herbs with a little honey and fresh fruit — peach, strawberry, whatever’s ripe — pour into moulds and freeze. The kids will be back at the counter before you’ve put the blender away.
Crepe Compote: Simmer the spent berries with a splash of water and a spoonful of sugar until glossy and jammy. Spoon warm over crepes. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes a Wednesday feel like a celebration.
