Indigenous peoples of North America called it "White Man's Footprint" because it seemed to follow European settlers wherever they went, springing up in disturbed soil along every new path. A plant that arrived uninvited and made itself indispensable. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

One of the most underrated plants in folk herbalism, Plantain has been used for centuries as a first-response botanical for irritated, damaged, or reactive skin. Traditionally associated with drawing out irritants, soothing inflamed or itchy skin, and supporting the skin's natural healing process — cooling, slightly astringent, and deeply practical.

The weed that was always medicine. You just had to know where to look.
