Cleavers Skin Oil

Cleavers is the herb for skin that feels congested, puffy, or slow to clear — and it's the perfect slip for gua sha and lymphatic self-massage.

One of the great lymphatic herbs in the Western tradition, Galium aparine is traditionally used in spring to support the body's natural fluid balance, reduce the appearance of puffiness, and bring a light, fresh quality to skin that's holding on to more than it should. Cooling and gently moving. Dual-extracted and steeped in certified organic olive oil — silky enough to let a gua sha tool glide without dragging or pulling.

Apply 2–3 drops to clean, damp skin and press gently into your face, neck, or body before gua sha. For lymphatic drainage, use feather-light strokes skimming the skin surface — always moving toward the heart. Sweep gently down the neck toward the collarbone, or work the underarm, inner thighs, and sides of the neck where lymph nodes cluster. Lymphatic movement is light and slow — let the skin surface do the work. Or simply smooth onto damp skin after a bath instead of lotion.
